You’re the star of our show this winter as we want you to join us for our first ever Singalong
It’s been a tough year for many of us and we want to bring some cheer into everyone’s home this December by ending on a bit of a high with a good old-fashioned sing song.
And, whilst the traditional carol singing and music events may not be able to take place, we want everyone to put their best voice forward and take part in our first ever sing along to help us celebrate the brilliant community spirit that makes Bolton so special.
The final film will be put together and released the weekend before Christmas so there’s time for everyone to join in the fun for a good old sing song.

What you need to do
To join in, you’ll need a smartphone, iPad or tablet (or some form of device that can capture film and can be shared with us as a video file). Filming is best done with the phone tipped onto its’ side (landscape mode) and then press record.
You can do as much of the song as you like but because we want lots of input, we’ll use small snippets of as many people as possible but try and do a couple of verses so we’ve got lots of great options for the final edit (30 seconds would be a good amount of time!).
You can sing alone or with members of your household or even as a group with your family, friends or work colleagues

The technical bit
You’ll need something to play the track on (Alexa / Google may help!) so that you can sing along to it in time (and in tune!) as well as a second device (as above) to film your performance. Don’t forget to film using the phone ‘side on’ in landscape mode!
Ideally film in 1080p or 720p which most smartphones will do as standard. Think about how far away you are from it too so that it can pick up your voice rather than just the backing track.
